New Year 2008
Happy New Year! With a new year comes new hopes and dreams, as we reflect on 2007 we are pleased with what has happened. The first part of the year saw prices continue to increase and a brisk market; by late fall the market reached a plateau, prices remain stable, but average days on the market increased taking some of the pressure off the buyers. Looking forward to the 2008 we are optimistic, there are a number of new housing starts planned, industry is moving ahead, oil drilling rights sales reached an all time this fall and with other energy related announcements anticipated soon, our city is set for another growth spurt which will reflect positively on the market place. 2008 may be your year to upgrade, build a new home or maybe you are ready for your first home. This is good time of the year to buy a home, a lot to build on or a country acreage, the market is a little slower, the pressure is off, but there is still a good selection of places to choose from. Homes in the $ 175,000 to $ 300,000 range are still selling quickly.
